Cars and trucks and surfboards, oh my!

Main Street and Pier Plaza are covered with just about every type of vintage car and truck you could ever want to see in one place. Classics, hotrods and specials are featured on Main Street. Woodies are collected on Pier Plaza with a surfer's swapmeet down in the parking area.

Great weather & great cars. Its a shame the promoter went el-cheap-o on the live entertainment which was terrible. Several top bands were interested in playing the show but the promoter cheap & it sounded like it. A shame because for just slightly more money, we could have enjoyed some really excellent music. You get what you pay for.

If you are referring to the surf band at the grass of Pier Plaza/pierside, we LOVED it! People were dancing, clapping, and making song suggestions. The drummer gave our daughter and her school friend each a drum stick to play along, then keep. Perhaps there could have been some music on Main street, as I don't think the Pier sounds traveled. But I disagree if this comment was directed at this group.

I'm not sure what band you were listening too. They were terrible. I have heard far better at the shows the surf museum puts on. That was not even close to a surf band either. Dreadful.
